Growing up, I was highly active—playing sports, staying strong, and enjoying the natural rhythm of movement and competition.
That lifestyle gave me energy, confidence, and a strong foundation. But when I entered the professional world, everything shifted.
After earning my degree from Middlebury College, I began working on Capitol Hill, where the demands of politics and long hours behind a desk slowly took their toll. Like many high-performing professionals, I found myself sacrificing movement for meetings, and nutrition for convenience. I felt the effects: tight joints, brain fog, low energy, creeping weight gain, and a body that no longer felt like mine.
That period taught me a hard truth: Fitness isn’t a luxury—it’s a form of preventative health care. Reclaiming my health became non-negotiable. I returned to training, immersed myself in mobility science, and began rethinking the entire approach to nutrition and performance.
Then I discovered ketogenic nutrition and intermittent fasting—and that was the real game changer! These weren’t crash diets or passing fads—they were powerful metabolic tools that unlocked consistent fat loss, clear mental focus, and renewed physical strength. It was a complete paradigm shift, and I knew I had to share it.
